How do I get started?
|
You start by booking for an Introductory Course designed to give you a taste of solo flying. You start your training on flat ground, learning about the paraglider and basic controls. You then move to a nursery slope to practise take off and landing techniques and finally do your solo flight. All flying is with radio supervision.
To book the course, please send us the online booking form and you will receive the course details from us immediately. An advance booking would be appreciated as we have a limited group size to maintain a good instructor to student ratio.
After your introductory course, when you want to continue with paragliding, the next step is to sign up for a Novice Certification Course. Here you learn the art of soaring to enjoy longer flights. |

What should I look for when signing up for a course?
|
- When selecting a school for paragliding instruction, first make sure that the school is registered with an FAI - Federation Aeronautic International authorized body
In India, FAI is represented by the ‘Aeroclub Of India’
- Make sure that the Instructors have International pilot licenses, issued by FAI
- Make sure the instructors have relevant qualifications.
- It will be a good idea to speak to the Chief Flying Instructor of the school directly to clear all your doubts regarding training, safety and your future in the sport. Talking to him will also give you a fair idea about what to expect
- Find out how many instructors are at each class, what is the student to instructor ratio? Are the flights radio supervised?
- What is the safety record of the school and of the instructors? How much experience does the school and the instructors have?
- How many students has the school taught, how many of its students receive certification and licenses each year?
- Does the school operate full-time to fit your schedule?
