Pilot Talk
Saajid The higher we soar, the smaller we appear to those who cannot fly.

Radio Crackles and Avi’s voice comes on it – “ Sajid, I need you to go down to 70% of the ridge and make an approach top landing. Loose your altitude ……start your right turn……NOW.”

Tanay So here I was,on the banks of the lovely Pawana Lake on a hot summer’s afternoon getting briefed by a person who is probably the human form lord Jupiter, the sky-god, TJ. And I was just thinking, I’ll soon be flying in the air! Just soaring over the picturesque Pawana Lake!

Rohit Kawalay Flying season came late this year, thanks to all the weather changing disturbances around the world. I have been one waiting long and hard as my one flight old shining new glider was in the cold storage since summer. As I was settling in my new glider with total flying experience just around 8 hours, I got a call from TJ. TJ informed me about the SIV course that’s planed in March at Pokhara Nepal. My first reaction was What! Me! No chance!!

Vistasp As I turn my glider around, heart somewhere in the vicinity of my boots, something magical happens. A huge golden eagle decides to investigate. He keeps circling closer until eyeball to eye ball we're 12 feet apart. My fear gives way to respect as I realise his wingspan is almost 7 feet wide.

Sarah I have always been an adventure lover. When I heard about paragliding, I thought of giving it a try. I was completely unaware of the fact that this impromptu decision would be a decision that would change my life… completely unaware that paragliding will become my biggest passion some day.

SumitJoshi Managing a crowd with literally no sense of flying is a big challenge in itself. Transforming them to pilots would surely be a commendable job. The positive aura that Temple Pilots group spreads is much more worthy than flying.

Preeti Gujjar Once I was there at the top, I felt a bit weird – suddenly the continuous land stretch that I was so used to at ground handling was gone. The tip of the mountain was not cosy at all, the safety of the ground was not available.

It’s a feeling of a lifetime fluttering like a feather in the open sky with that gush of adrenaline in your veins. That moment is smeared with exclusivity; it’s purely yours. You come to the realization of what it feels like being a bird, flying through the caressing breeze and taking a panoramic view of the world down below. Paragliding indeed is an exalting experience!

Sumedha Bhalla Having completed my P1, I am now determined to become a Club Pilot. Why? Because that's what Temple Pilot does to you. It gives you the will to FLY!

One can't help but trust the calm confidence of the instructors and their expertise, especially after the display of their spectacular flying skills. They did not leave any stone unturned to ensure that all safety measures were in place. Their patience along each step of the learning curve further helped me get my bearing together for THAT first solo flight. And *what a* flight it was! :D

Looking forward to a fabulous journey ahead with Temple Pilots and a lifetime of flying!

Our first paragliding experience could not have been better than with the Temple Pilot’s Team. Thank you to you Avi and all the other instructors for the wonderful experience that we have had learning to paraglide. The sensation of flying like a bird is amazing, astonishing and fascinating. We never ever imagined even in our wildest dreams that it would be so much fun! Under the supervision of CFI Avi and competent instructors TJ and Pankaj -me and my son Rishabh had a highest quality of paragliding training. We can't believe we were solo flying in two days. It was quite thrilling and we could never imagine how enjoyable free flight really is. Above all we would like applaud Anita for her enthusiasm and the encouragement she showed. Thank you one and all at TEMPLE PILOTS for making this a memorable learning experience.

Let me tell you folks... I've flown the powered engines upto 40000ft... but never knew flying the unpowered glider from top to bottom would be even more fun.. True guys..!

A mindblowing experience, something difficult to express in words but let me try.. Being a pilot in Air India, flying the big jets for the last two years, I wanted to feel the cold breeze hitting my face, and what i got was lot more...

Totally contrary to flying aircrafts, getting airborne from a hill top, flying in unison with birds and other gliders, having one to one interaction with wind, exploring the terrain for thermals and playing around with the colourful glider - a sense of freedom, independence - just like a bird - mesmerizing... never wanted to leave the skies... a week now and looks like i am already addicted !

One full week of Flying, fun and frolic..wow..!!

It was just too good an expercience which i think everyone should opt for. Flying above the green hills, making contact with fresh air, it was like speaking to the nature. undoubtedly, Paragliding defines freedom. Finally, i can immitate the birds and now i know what freedom is :)
