Yelagiri Hills... easily the top flying destination in South India where thermals are friendly and cloudbase is easy to reach (an XC haven). Oodles of height to practice acro in the ridge soaring conditions and loads of airtime to clock. Way to go… Bangalore or Chennai are just a 3 hour driveaway.
Flying site - Take-off height is at approx. 2000 ft AGL. West take - off, huge clearing, nice gradual slope, easy take - off & large expanse of landing area.

Flying Operations - June / July / Aug 2010
Beginners - 4 day Introductory P1 level courses. 4 day Novice Pilot P2 level courses & Club Pilot Rating. Low airtime pilots - Progression courses, Thermalling Clinics, XC and instructional tandems. Two seater joyrides - Fun filled flying with a professional pilot. We are organising this tour in association with YASA - Yelagiri Adventure Sports Association The Temple Pilots squadron is setting course to this brand new flying site in Tamil Nadu to set up its holiday base from the 10th of June to end of August 2010
