Temple Pilots’ 2-day Accuracy Landing Workshop concluded successfully with an intensive focus on refining spot-landing skills under the guidance of Avi Malik, senior instructor and experienced competition pilot.
Day 1 The workshop began with a detailed technical briefing, setting clear objectives for precision landings, approach planning, pumping techniques, and consistency under varied conditions. The primary focus was to sharpen the accuracy and control of the participating pilots through structured drills and repeated flights.
Over the two days, pilots logged multiple flights each, with every landing treated as a learning opportunity. Emphasis remained firmly on precision, decision-making, and clean execution, allowing pilots to progressively fine-tune their approaches and improve measurable accuracy.
Day 2 culminated in a friendly yet highly focused competition, featuring multiple competitive rounds that tested:
Spot landing accuracy
Energy management and pumping
Approach judgment and consistency
The competitive format pushed pilots to apply newly learned techniques under pressure while maintaining a collaborative learning environment.

After finishing as 1st Runner-Up last year, Mayank came back calmer, sharper, and fully dialed in – this time standing on the top of the podium.
A pilot who’s been flying for a while, Mayank is known for his weekend flying missions, often strapping his glider to his bike and heading out to fly. Flying the BGD Epic, he delivered when it mattered most, combining experience with precision.
Always spotted in superhero T-shirts, it felt fitting that his trophy-winning moment played out with a Spider-Man theme — because sometimes, with great control comes great accuracy.
