20 Day Course
This Course includes following courses : P1 + P2 Basic + P2 Advance + P3
20 Day APPI 3 Pilot License Course is the first best step one can take to directly become an independent and Licensed Paragliding Pilot. Intermediate level training to master soaring flights independently. APPI 3 Pilot is now able to analyze different weather conditions, make the appropriate decisions, and perform a safe flight with supervision on their learning site.
This rating opens up a whole new world of progressing to advanced courses like Advance Coastal Clinic in Bali, Pre- SIV course, Thermalling & XC course, SIV and Acro Courses. This rating will also make you eligible to join our flying tours to both national and international flying destinations.
Syllabus : This course covers all that is part of the P1-Introductory course, P2-Basic course and P2- Advance Course and P3 – Pilot. However since there is continuity in the training one achieves much more in a 20 Day course in terms of a number of flights, flying hours, pilot competency level and confidence.
Prerogative : APPI 3 Pilots can fly fully independently at their learning flying site. Flying at different sites, they are recommended to choose places where they can receive the assistance of an APPI school.
Club : Congratulations! You are now Club Pilot! As a validated APPI 3 pilot, you now qualify for free radio supervision by Temple Pilots at Sites you have learnt in Kamshet and eligible to buy Flying Hours.

- Site and Wind assessment - Basic

- Take off & Landing techniques (Bunny Hops)
- Flight briefing and mental preparation
- Solo Flights from Training Hill under Radio supervision
- Independent Pre-Flight preparation and Flight planning
- Independent Solo Flights without Radio supervision
- Independent Post Flight Procedures
- Site and Wind assessment - Advanced
- Kiting sessions for better glider control and active piloting
- Instructional Tandem - To get comfortable with soaring flight, high altitude and maneuvers
- Soaring Flights - Initially under guidance followed by independent soaring flights
- Initially under guidance followed by independent approaches and landings
- Witnessed Tasks such as Big Ears, 360 degree turns, Target landings and as mentioned in the Certification Book
- Fly at least 3 different flying sites of intermediate level
- Manage landing approach with other pilots & Precise landing in changing conditions.
- Master one takeoff technique (forward or reverse).
- Weather analysis / safe decision to fly or not
- Master 5 points pre-flight check: B.E.S.A.F.E.
- Make own flight plan.
- Advanced witnessed tasks such as Collapses, Turn Reversals, Big ears with speed bar and as mentioned in the Certification Book
- Logged Requirements such as a number of Flights, Flying hours and as mentioned in the Certification Book
- Practical Exam and Independent flying to the satisfaction of the Senior Instructor / CFI

APPI provides a paragliding license based on a high level of paragliding, and an education system that is recognized internationally among all APPI schools worldwide, and partner Associations and Federations.
PROCEDURE TO GET YOUR APPI PILOT LICENSE
You are enrolled into the APPI system right at the begining of the course. At each level of your training you will undergo written/online & Verbal exams. After clearing exams, completing all the required training, outdoor tasks and their signoff’s , Our Qualified APPI Instructor will give final Review (as regards your attitude & aptitude for the sport) which is the final Sign-Off for your License and validate your license level accordingly. Our Training Team will help you out with all your License formalities. Course/Task completion and progress are influenced by factors such as the participant’s motor skills, fitness, aptitude, age, and more. Due to the inherent risks involved, the pace of the course may vary, and some participants might require additional training days to complete it. The focus should always be on learning and improvement, not merely on finishing the course.
