A Beautiful Journey of Learning, Trust, and Freedom Through Paragliding

I recently completed a 4-day P1 course with Temple Pilots. I arrived with excitement, ready for the thrill of flying solo, and left with something far deeper; a quiet strength and a new perspective. Thank you Temple Pilots for this amazing experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who truly wishes to feel what it means to fly.

Paragliding isn’t just about learning how to fly, it’s a lot about learning how to trust. Trust the wind, the glider, and most importantly, yourself. The moment you get your feet above the ground, everything slows down. You become completely present. For me, it felt much like unfolding a raga- intuitive, meditative, and deeply personal.

The strong foundation came from the in-depth ground training and simulations at the base. Understanding the controls, repeating drills, and practicing responses didn’t just build skill, it built muscle memory and confidence. By the time we were in the air, it wasn’t unfamiliar; it felt natural.
And honestly, once I was up there, I didn’t want to come down. There was a stillness, a freedom, like finding a sur that wants to linger, and not wanting to let go of it.

A huge part of this journey was shaped by Avi Sir and Anita, whose encouragement kept pushing us forward. The steady and patient guidance from Vinayak Sir, Sagar Sir, Pravin Sir, Mihir, Rohit Sir, and Yuvi made the entire process feel safe, structured, and grounded. A special thanks as well to Neenad Sir, Shriya, and Arshi for making the booking and coordination so smooth.

Beyond flying, it was the little things; comforting and hot meals by Hari bhaiyya, the restful stay, and the space to pause and recharge, made the experience whole.

And finally, the people. Meeting such wonderful individuals, sharing this journey, cheering each other on, and slowly becoming friends, that’s something I’ll truly cherish. The laughter, conversations, and shared excitement every day made this more than just a course; it became a beautiful collective experience.

I went to learn paragliding.
And I left with a sense of freedom I’ll carry forward. And I already know this is just the beginning, I can’t wait to return next season and continue with P2.
