5 Epic moments in Paragliding history from First flight from Everest to Oldest Para-glider.

1. First Paragliding flight from Mt Everest.
26th September 1988 Jean Marc Boivin became the first oilot to take from the Mt Everest Summit.

2. Summit to Sea
21st May 2011 Tandem paraglider pilot Babu Sunuwar and experienced Everest climber Lakpa Tshering Sherpa have flown a tandem paraglider from the summit of Everest.
The successful flight was the first leg in a summit-to-sea attempt to fly tandem from Everest and then continue by paraglider, kayak and bike to sea level in Bangladesh.

3. Highest Paragliding Flight.
23rd July 2016 Antoine Girard breaks paragliding altitude record: 8157m!
In a unique unsupported vol-bivouac expedition, the X-Alps athlete managed to fly by some of the wildest and highest mountains of the world, becoming the first pilot to paraglide over an 8000m peak!

4. Fly intro moving Cable car
25th June 2015 Arnaud Longobardi, 43, flies into the open doors of a moving cable car, 150 metres above the ground, in the French Alps. For the stunt to work, Longobardi has to perfectly time his takeoff after the cable car leaves its dock, in order to enter its door at the precise point necessary – when it is briefly travelling horizontally rather than at an angle up or down – according to organizers.

5.Oldest person on Tandem Flight
A great-grandmother who was the oldest member of the Royal British Legion and held the record for being the world’s oldest paraglider has died at 106 years old. Peggy McAlpine from Stirling, Scotland, was 104 when she became the world’s oldest paraglider.
