Air Investigations: Pilot Stories – Live Q & A – Temple Pilots Paragliding

June 27, 2021

Paragliding is magical but it may not be wise to ignore the dark side of our sport. We should and must realise that accidents can and will happen to us. The key is to keep working on getting better prepared.
One of the biggest lessons i have learnt in the sport is to try see things as they really are rather than how i would like them to be. Many a pilots have fallen into this trap of seeing conditions differently than they are & paid a price.

We can learn a lot by sharing our knowledge with each other and asking the right questions. Air Investigations’ Series is a step in that direction, to learn to manage risk and progress safely.
The idea is to have informal conversations with pilots who are willing to share stories of their incidents & accidents and you get to directly ask them questions that would help you develop your own knowledge & understanding.

We can all learn a lot from Senior Club Pilot Rohit Kawalay’s rare & probably the only Reserve deployment in Kamshet where he found himself in the lee & going for the handle. Such experiences can be frightening & can take a lot to recover from & become confident with your flying again.

Talk to Rohit & other experienced pilots directly this Sunday at 1100 Hrs on Air Investigations & learn valuable lessons.

Looking forward to an enriching & enlightening Session,

Love n light,
avi 🙏💜
