Last week, Anita was invited to speak at BNI IRIS, Pune on the theme Heart Businesses.

Temple Pilots was never built by chasing market trends.
When we started, there was no adventure industry roadmap in India. No structured ecosystem. No social media. Just mountains, wind, skepticism… and conviction.
Anita shared how paragliding in India began in an era where the first reaction from people was, “Marna hai kya?”
Safety standards had to be defined.
Trust had to be earned.
Systems had to be built before scale could ever happen.
Temple Pilots grew not as a thrill company – but as a training institution rooted in discipline, structure, and respect for the sky.
The session wasn’t about flying high.
It was about building steady.
Anita spoke about what a Heart Business truly means.
It means:
Leading with purpose, not pressure.
Listening deeply — to students, to weather, to timing.
Making bold decisions when there is no precedent.
Building culture before chasing growth.
A heart-led business is fearless – but not reckless.

She also spoke about being a woman in a male-dominated adventure space – making operational decisions, handling risk, leading teams in high-stakes environments, and holding ground when doubt surrounds you.
Her message to women was simple:
Build for yourself.
Trust your instinct.
Do not shrink your ambition.
Replenish your energy – because leadership needs strength.
